From a physics perspective, we can understand that when a material cannot be moved by external forces, its geometry and dimensions change. This deformation is called strain.
When the material deforms, an equal but opposite reaction force is generated internally to resist the external force; the concentration of internal force distributed at a certain point is called stress. In short, the internal force per unit area at a point in the study cross-section is called stress, the normal to the cross-section is called normal stress or normal stress, and the one tangent to the cross-section is called shear stress.
First of all, like some knife-feed PCB splitters, the PCB substrate will not move during the cutting process, and the circular knife will slip. This ensures that the electronic components of the substrate are not damaged by movement and is a factor that affects separator stress. In addition, it can adjust the sliding speed of the round knife, the depth of the V-groove, the wear of the tool, and precisely adjust the distance between the upper round knife and the lower straight knife, so as to affect the stress of the splitter.
Second, everyone uses a PCB splitter to minimize stress to avoid PCB breakage and other damage from the separation process. Some splitters accomplish splitting by crossing V-grooves; the cutting speed is controlled by a knob. The circuit board dividing stroke can be freely set and is equipped with an LCD display. These are also factors that affect PCB separator stress.
